A walk along South Bank of the River Thames offers one of the most scenic views of London. Major tourist attractions can be found around the Embankment Place area, including the London Eye, Westminster Abbey, Houses of Parliament and the infamous symbolic Big Ben. Arts buildings including the Royal Festival Hall and National Theatre lie along the South Bank and are host to art and culture exhibitions and concerts all year round.

Take the tube to Embankment underground station. At the station exit, is the Hungerford Bridge, a railway bridge, with a pedestrian walkway on each side, known as the Golden Jubilee pedestrian bridges. Take a walk along the Jubilee Bridge to cross over the River Thames to South Bank.

London Eye, the largest wheel in Europe, rising up to 135m high offers a spectacular view of the city of London. Each capsule can hold up to 25 people and there is enough space to walk about so that you can obtain a 360 degree view.

Tx Kay Nny. It was actually a wet and gloomy day… had to wait for the rain to stop so most of the shots were taken at about 4pm when the sun was going down.
The ‘the magnificent clock tower lit up as dark falls’ pic is really fantastic!
