The abundance of Chinese restaurants, as well as Malaysian, Indian, Thai, Middle Eastern food widely available in Bayswater area, especially Queensway, has made this area widely popular for those seeking a taste of asian cuisine. Revisiting Bayswater after 6 years, brings back fond memories of life as a student in London. It was good to see my favourite eating places still around.

1) Roast Duck at Four Seasons
I still have not found roast duck anywhere including back home in Malaysia to be as good as the one at Four Seasons. The sauce that goes with the duck seems to be of a secret recipe. On my visit back to Queensway this time though, I also tried the duck in a more recently opened restaurant few doors away, the Gold Mine. The roast duck there was also excellent; in fact, it seemed to be less greasy than the one in Four Seasons. Glad to have had my fair share of duck this time.

2) Dim Sum at Royal China
My all-time favourite dim sum place. Dim sum is served daily here. On weekends the queue is extremely long for brunch/lunch and there can be quite a wait. As a student, staying in one of the flats directly above Royal China, it was convenient for us to dine here as one of us could just go downstairs to place our name in the long list and come back up, whilst the rest of us troop down when our table is ready.

3) Kebab at Taza
The best kebab I’ve ever had! My favourite is the lamb shwarma – thin slices of lamb with veggie and various sauces filled up in the pita bread. The price is still £3.50 making it a more affordable option for a meal and one that is satisfying too!

Ugh, I liked! So clear and positively.
Have a nice day
