Hahah… I bought most of the stuffs you snapped in the photos. Spices, shawls, clothes, handicrafts, painting… Good bargain especially I was there during the low season (but hot like in hell…not recommended to go in May/June).

This market scene and setting reminds me of those in Bali and Phuket, typical South East Asian market place.

hi mei teng, now that u mention it, it does sound abit like the malaysian cantonese ‘pa-sat’ or in malay ‘pasar’. and like urself, i like visiting markets when i travel as there’s always such a buzz and it’s a very colourful scene – will be updating soon on other local markets in cambodia and thailand.

Psar Char for old market sounds very much like the cantonese dialect version of market. I love visiting markets in my travels. There’s so much to see and experience.
