Apart from attractions such as its architectural heritage, traditional trades, and famous hawker and street food, Penang is known for its surrounding beaches; thus making it an ideal holiday destination. Batu Ferringhi Beach is the most popular beach in Penang amongst both locals and tourists, and the beach is usually full of activities including water sports, sunbathing or simply sunset watching.

Weird thing to say, but there you go! Ha ha…
micki: yea it’s pretty fun … parasailing.. u get dragged by a boat and they take u for a round flying high so u get a view of the coast below
ai, khengsiong: thanks, it was a beautiful sunset… the golden hour is always amazing
Mei Teng: yea i always enjoy beach holidays or simply lying on the beach with a book… relaxingg
uLi, MKPhang: the 2nd shot is one of my fav… looks like the couple is really enjoying the view and place.
vialentino: thanks for dropping by! i’m using nikon d90.
Rafael: u witnessed it before too eh in batu ferringhi… it’s the beach that usu tourists go to.
Nomadic Pinoy, eunice: tried parasailing at this same back many years ago – i think it could have been 10 year ago when i brought a friend who was visiting malaysia, to penang. was good fun!
Hong: din use any filters… but i think i changed the autobalance so the colour effect could have been more bluish.. but actually the sunset colours were really dynamic and changing quite dramatically as it was going down.
thanks for the china info… will check it out.
taufulou: TQ
chyng: it’s normally qutie a busy beach. the water is not very clear in penang compared to other islands in malaysia or like the ones u visited in phillipines! so it’s more for water sports and fun at the beach. many locals (from outside penang) and tourists hang out here for a holiday
Londoncaller: yea i think i remember seeing u through the lens hah….
heys….how much did u pay for the parasailing? what is the duration of the parasailing?
and is the journey very far to travel from george town to Ferringhi Beach??
perhaps can share more info on your trip thru’ mail?
passerby: hiya.. the parasailing is about RM50-RM60 for a 15-20min ride. It’s about 20 mins from the town centre to Ferringhi Beach. have sent u a mail
