Meet Yi Shyuan who just turned one year old recently. Her mum having come across my photoblog, contacted me for a portrait session of her little daughter and I was more than happy to be given the opportunity. We spent the morning at a nearby playground. Her brothers also came along so managed to catch a few shots of them too.

Rafael: i actually only met yi shyuan’s mum on the day of the portrait. she got my contact after having stumbled upon my blog.
chyng: the boy was really enjoying swinging so high and bending his back back all the way. i like the 3 sibilings together too… each of them with their individual ‘poses’.

The shot with the three siblings and little sis in the middle is lovely. What kind of lens did you use for these portraits?
For this portrait session, I was using the 50mm portrait lens, with a larger aperture for the close ups and smaller aperture for the more distant group shots (there was enough space in the playground to stand back without obstructions between the kids and myself)

I was going to ask you what lens you were using for your portraits. 50 mm prime lens is such a great lens, great for portraits! Awesome shots! I am sure mommy is all happy about these lovely sets!

I am keen to take some family photos at an outdoor park (dunno where yet, maybe you can suggest). I am also in my last my last month of my 2nd pregnancy so some shots of myself with my belly would also be nice. Please let me know how you charge. Ideally, would be great if you can get it all done within 1 or 2 hours as my 2 year old is quite a handsful.
