Nearly half the population of Cambodia is of children under the age of 15. In Siem Reap, you are greeted by children everywhere with various expressions. On our way back from Kompong Khleang, we make a stop at Damdek market, located in the small town of Damdek, 40km east of Siem Reap town. Unlike the old market in the centre of Siem Reap town, Damdek market is truly a local market where tourists can hardly be spotted and groceries are known to be cheaper.
